Ingredients:

- 1 (15-ounce) can (375 mL) diced tomatoes with green chilies, undrained
- 1 (15-ounce) can (375 mL) diced tomatoes with green chilies, drained and rinsed
- 1 tablespoon (15 mL) tomato paste
- 1 tablespoon (15 mL) water
- 1 tablespoon (15 mL) cornstarch
Instructions:
- In a large skillet over medium-high heat, brown the ground beef. Drain any excess fat.
- Add the chili powder, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and cayenne pepper (if using) to the skillet and cook for 5 minutes, stirring constantly.
- Add the olive oil, onion, and garlic to the skillet and cook until the onion is softened, about 5 minutes.
- Add the diced tomatoes, tomato paste, and water to the skillet and bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15 minutes, or until the meat is cooked through and the sauce has thickened.
- Serve over rice or noodles.
Tips:
- For a spicier dish, add more cayenne pepper or chili powder.
- For a milder dish, reduce the amount of chili powder or chili powder.
- Serve with a side of tortilla chips or bread.
